As humans, we regularly participate in something called "cognitive offloading". Think of writing notes, making a grocery list, setting a reminder on your phone, etc. This kind of offloading was commonplace until it was augmented by AI. Now we have AI taking notes, writing grocery lists, and setting reminders. This was fine until we started letting AI decide things that we would normally decide for ourselves. For example, choosing what to eat to lose weight, what to wear to a formal event, or how to ask your manager for a raise. We've let AI control so much of our lives that now "taste" (aka our own thoughts and opinions) is a commodity that we believe is reserved for a select few. In reality, we all have this skill of "taste"; we simply need to exercise it. It all starts with critical thinking. Consider this project an attempt at democratizing critical thinking.

Yes, it's just a puzzle

Every round is a 3×3 logic puzzle (the same idea as a classic Einstein or “zebra” riddle). Here it’s a triple robbery: three robbers, three stolen items, and a set of clues that only make sense when you read them together.

How it works

  1. Read the clues — Each clue is a logical fact. Use them to rule out impossible pairings, not to guess at random.
  2. Solve three robberies — For each robbery, pick one robber and one item. Every name and every item is used exactly once.
  3. Submit your answer — If something’s wrong, you’ll get feedback and can try again until it’s correct.
  4. Share the challenge — After you finish, you can generate a link so a friend gets the same puzzle (same clues, same difficulty). We time both runs so you can see who solved it faster.
